Summary

  • This page explains how ELT Education Inc.'s websites store information on visitors' devices using cookies and similar technologies, and what information is sent from visitors' devices to organisations other than us ("external transmission").
  • It also serves as our public notice of external transmission (recipients, information sent and purposes) under Japan's Telecommunications Business Act.
  • For visitors from the UK and the EU (EEA), and visitors whose region cannot be determined, we do not load analytics tags until you consent. In other regions (including Japan), analytics is on by default and you can refuse it at any time.
  • You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

1. How we treat each region

Where you areBefore you chooseHow you choose
UK, EU (EEA)We use only what is strictly necessary (see section 3). We do not load analytics or advertising tagsA banner appears on your first visit with "Accept all", "Reject all" and "Settings". Whichever you choose, you will not be disadvantaged
Region cannot be determinedTreated the same as the UK and the EUAs above
Elsewhere (including Japan)Analytics is on. No advertising cookies are storedYou can refuse analytics and advertising separately via "Cookie settings". Once you refuse, we stop loading analytics tags from the next page

We determine your region from the country that our hosting provider (Vercel) derives from your IP address. We store only the result (a country code) in a cookie (elt_geo) and do not store your IP address for this purpose.

2. How to change your choice

  • Cookie settings: Use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page to allow or refuse analytics and advertising separately. We keep your choice for 180 days and then ask again (visitors from the UK and the EU).
  • Turning off Google Analytics: Google's opt-out browser add-on stops Google Analytics on all websites.
  • Browser settings: You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site (such as remembering your choice) may not work properly.
